You can leave your luggage at the hotel where you stay on the first night, and it will be safely stored until you return.

Your retreat is led by experienced, women-led guides and wellness facilitators from Roam Wild Adventure + Guru Grounding. Yoga sessions are accessible for all levels, focusing on stretching, breathwork, and mindfulness to complement trekking and safari activities.

Our trek is designed for women with varying levels of fitness. While a basic level of physical activity is recommended, the supportive environment, expert guidance, and slower-paced options make it accessible.

Daily hikes vary from 4–8 hours, depending on the day and elevation. Rest stops are frequent, and the pace is adjusted to the group.

The mountain weather can change. Expect cool mornings and evenings, with warm daytime temperatures at lower elevations. Layers, a waterproof jacket, trekking boots, hat, sunscreen, and a water bottle are essential. A full packing list is provided upon registration.

All meals are included and focus on nourishing, locally sourced ingredients, designed to fuel your adventure while offering cultural flavors.

Optional activities may include hot springs visits, a Zanzibar beach extension, cultural excursions, hot air balloon ride, and guided market visits.

Yes! Solo travelers are welcome. English is the primary language of instruction and communication throughout the retreat.

Absolutely. The retreat is women-focused, with a professional team ensuring safety, guidance, and a supportive environment at all times.

The payment policy requires a $500 deposit at booking with monthly installments thereafter. The balance is due 30 days before the trip. Cancellations made within 30 days of booking receive a full refund; up to 90 days before the trip, a 50% refund; up to 60 days before, a 25% refund; no refund is available within 30 days of the trip.

Good to Know

Kilimanjaro’s temperatures vary widely, from around 28°C (82°F) during the day to -15°C (5°F) at night. Layered clothing is essential.
Tanzania bans single-use plastic bags and disposable bottles on the mountain. Reusable bags are generally acceptable.
Kilimanjaro National Park limits each porter to 15 kg (including your sleeping bag). Bags are weighed at the hotel; any excess must be left behind.
For safety, our guides conduct twice-daily health checks, including oxygen level monitoring, to detect altitude sickness early.
Treks are designed at a slow, steady pace — “pole pole” in Swahili — ensuring everyone ascends safely. Following this guidance maximizes your chances of reaching the summit in good health.
Safari drives take place in Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti, usually in the early morning and late afternoon for best wildlife sightings.
Dress in layers and neutral colors; bring sunscreen, hat, and binoculars.
Your guides will provide cultural insights and wildlife information throughout.
Safari vehicles are open but equipped for comfort.
